Combing 3d printing with resin

Writer's picture: roberta gauciroberta gauci

Recently we invested in a 3d printer and its an awesome invention. The more you are creative, the more you can create and experiment with different mediums. We tried keychains and cake toppers, but I wanted more.

I also work with resin so I got an idea to combine 3d prints and resin. I made a steady base, so resin doesn't leak and tried the turtle shell. I filled slowly each piece with resin, combing a different colour.

Result was awesome as you can see it at the photo title.

An idea of a 3d printed turtle without resin, is the photo above. Ohhh so much possibilities, you can make it colorful, blue, green or mixed!!

What can I try with the next project? Can't wait to see your ideas too.
